About us
Jeremiah 1:5 ~“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations
Our roots
BCC was established in 1892. The church still stands on the grounds of the original church. The church hit its stride in 1905 when the Rev. Earl B. Barr was at the pulpit. In 1926 the building was bursting at the seams so the congregation decided to rebuild. That was when the 2 story section of the church today was built. BCC has been a pillar of the community for over 100 years, servicing Bromley and Ludlow. In 20__ we remodeled the front of the building, adding an elevator.
Bromley Christian Church is a branch of the disciples of Christ. The Disciples believe “We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.”
Will I fit in?
At BCC everyone is welcome and we mean everyone. We welcome those of all ethnicity, culture, and members of the LGBTQ community. Whether you are already sold out for Christ or just curious, we want you here. We want to be a place where you feel like you belong, are seen, are loved.
No need to get all dressed up, come as you are. You have issues and struggles? No need to “get it together” before you come. We don’t care, we want to know you.
What we believe about God
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that He loves and welcomes all who come before him. We believe that Christ loves everyone and wants to be in a relationship with everyone. We also believe that we can have different ideas of theology, so long as we can agree that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we can be brothers & sisters in faith.
We believe it is our calling to serve our community with compassion and service.
We want to be a light of Christ in our community. We want to be a place where everyone feels welcomed, loved. We want to be a place of truth and hope. We want to see the Kingdom of Heaven grow in Bromley and Ludlow.
